Imagine Fall

Hi,happy thursday. Hope you are having a great week. The weather here in the UK is unseasonably good and set to last until the weekend.

I made a card using my Imagine today!!! I've just got my hands on the Enjoy the Seasons cart and there are some beautiful images on it.

I am entering this over at Whimsical Wednesdays - to use fall colours and a handmade embellishment.
Fantabulous Cricut - Leaves are Falling

These are both great challenge blogs with an amazing DT,so do go check them out and join in the fun.

For my handmade embellishment I made a metal leaf.

I only have the above alcohol inks and decided to add more stream and butterscotch to make it greener, with hindsite I preferred it how it was.. like this! Also I could have used my promarkers or copics to colour the metal as they are alcohol inks! Brain wasn't in gear at the time! Lol!

I curled the edges and added lots of 3d foam for dimension. Added a  bit of doodling and only inked the edges on my sentiment which was from My Creative Time.
I wanted a clean look to my card so didn't ink the die cuts....which was incredibly hard for me not to do!!!
Metal leaf attached with silicone glue.

Thanks for looking and have a good day.
Hugs,

These are not part of the challenge but thought I would share them. To know more click here. They are in a previous post when I was making ATC's and playing with alcohol inks and Tim Holtz dies. :) They remind me of fall.

Just Because

Hi,managed to make a 'just because' card. You know, for no reason, just to say hi or so. I often send cards for no particular occasion,it's always nice to receive happy mail! Lol.

I made a monochromatic card....

The image is a Penny Black stamp, stamped with Walnut Ink distress ink and then watercoloured the lines in. Added ribbon, machine stitching,a button and a touch of glossy accents to finish.

I envisaged sepia tones and although I didn't quite achieve that, it is much prettier in real  life than my photo!

Big Top!

Hi Everyone, hope you had a fabulous weekend. Sorry for the lack of posts, just seem to be really busy. If I don't make it into my craft room on a Monday(my day off) then I just struggle for time! My son starts senior school next year so we are looking at schools and trying to decide where to go,so lots of open days/evenings.

This morning I took a look around some of my favourite challenge blogs and decided to make a birthday card to enter.
Die Cuttin Diva's - challenge #33 Having Fun at the Circus
Birthday Sundaes - challenge #28 Use buttons- birthday card
My Craft Spot - challenge #27 Use ribbon

So I came up with this Big Top card....

I decided to use the circus tent cut from Create a Critter and use my Gypsy to weld and make the shaped card and layers....enough said...almost didn't happen as so many problems along the way, fortunately I am stubborn as a mule and refused to let it get the better of me and eventually got there. My Gypsy and I are not the best of friends!!!Heehee.

I embossed the layers and inked all edges.Added white seam binding ribbon (tricky to say the least as I wanted it to look as if it was flowing) and buttons.
I added a horse button as I thought it reminded me of one you would see at the circus. But this is what it looked like before I did.
If anyone wants to know sizing just drop me an email or comment and will dig out my (hidden in the bottom of a drawer) Gypsy. Couldn't face switching it back on at the time of writing this to look!! Lol.

Have a great Monday.
Thanks for looking in.

Fall Wreath

Hi Everyone,Happy Monday, hope you had a rockin' weekend! Managed an hour in my craft room today....where does time go?!
Over at My Craft Spot this week's challenge is to use Fall Leaves. I haven't used my Vagabond in a while so pulled out Tim Holtz's tattered leaves die and got busy inking and glimmer misting lots of leaves.
I added a sentiment from My Creative Time on the stitched circle and scallop die.

I love how this turned out. I cut a circle from around a plate to stick all the leaves to.

I struggled with light to get a good picture of the inking and gold glimmer misting!

Just want to welcome my new followers and thank everyone for their lovely comments. I was blown away by your comments on my reindeer box, thank you so much.

Scary, Scary, Screamie, Screamie, Happy, Happy Halloweenie!

My second post of the day, I have a Halloween decoration to share with you. Throwback Thursday is having a cricutless challenge and to use the colours green, orange, purple and black!
Yesterday I picked up the Polka Doodles Christmas boutique pack. Inside there is a template to cut out a house, door and windows.

Recipe
I traced and cut out windows and doors, but obvioulsy could not leave it like that......
Everything inked and distressed!
Embossed the house with Tim Holtz embossing folder.
Added 2 windowsills and a step, inked and 3D foam.
Used my son's decorative scissors on the orange parts of the roof.
Cut squares of black card, embossed and inked and made the roof.
Used a Cuttlebug die to add a bat and a pumpkin. I used Ranger black enamel for the eyes.
Added Halloween Bakers Twine to hang it and an oraange sparkly brad for the door handle.
Stamped the sentiment from All Around Halloween onto the oval stitched die, all from My Creative Time. Inked and attached with jump rings.

I really like how this turned out, and don't you just love that saying!

I am also entering this over at The Paper Variety - to use stamps on your paper project.

Thanks so much for looking.

Friends

Hi,Happy Thursday. Hope you are having a wonderful week. School started yesterday and my work hours go back to normal but should manage to get some crafting in now.
Yesterday I met up with my very good friend,Kate. We haven't managed to see each other during the 6 week school hols. The rest of the year we spend alot of time together so we arranged to meet up for lunch.
I had a little gift from one of our mini trips away(Kate is a massive cupcake fan), and decided to make a quick box to give it to her in. Thought I would share this with you.

I must apologise for the picture as I (and I still don't know how) deleted the better picture of this little box on it's own!
Anyone that read my candle post will know how little I use my gypsy. Well the other thing that looks at me when I'm crafting is my Imagine. Unfortunately it's too big to hide in a drawer! Lol.
I was undecided whether I wanted one of these and over time saw fabulous creations with it and when it was on offer I took the plunge. It arrived just before school hols so haven't had much opportunity to play with it but I must have a real go. For me,I like adding the detail to my work and the Imagine feels pretty well done...I think this is my difficulty to overcome.
I digress as I thought I would cut the best friends and butterfly from it. (I still inked my images though!)

I cut the box at 4.75" from Sweet Tooth Boxes using Tim Holtz Kraft Resist card. Beautiful butterfly images.... so I thought,it turns out they are moths!

I don't think I could get it to cut like that again if I wanted too! I  assembled my best friend image on 3d foam and instead of sticking to the house it slides over the tab! Had to include the 3 bears I picked up as it reminded me of goldilocks. Enough of my ramblings!
I am entering this over at My Craft Spot - make a project for a friend.

I'd just like to thank Judy from http://craftyjar.blogspot.com/ for thinking of me and awarding me The Butterfly Award. Judy makes beautiful projects and so do visit her amazing blog.

Thrilled that my Falling for You card won over at BBTB2 and made top 5 at FCCB.

Can you tell I haven't posted much for a while?!

Have a fab day.
