BBTB2 - Winter Canvas

Hello my crafty friends. Did you have a fun weekend?
I played in a parent/junior golf competition and then went out on my Christmas work's party on Saturday. Sunday was a relaxing crafty day..just perfect.

This week our wonderful Sharon has asked us to fire up our cricuts and make a Winter project.

I started with a 8 by 8" canvas and painted, inked,  added texture paste and glitter.

I used Snow Folks cut at 3.5"
DP - MME Tis the Season
Farmhouse Norland Paper Pack

I used gilding flakes and gilding wax which is hard to see the sheen in the photo.
Click here to see the tutorials for these.
I used various memory box dies for the trees and the pine needle border.
The star is from Dec 25th and cut at 2"

I was trying to show the dimension and sparkle from the twinklets stardust in this photo.
It really does sparkle and shine when the Christmas lights catch it.
I deliberately didn't ink the bottom of the canvas as I am not putting it on a wall but sitting it on a cream unit!

Do check out all the wintery inspiration from my fellow teamies and come join in the fun.
Thanks for stopping by.

White on White Ornament Card

Hi, hope you had a great weekend.
Our lovely Julie is our host this week over at BBTB2 and she has asked us to make a white on white project.

I think white on white is so wintry and pretty!

I used Art Philosophy for the bauble at 6".
Dec 25th for the holly and Deck the Halls.
I glittered the words and embossed the background for lots of different texture.

I added rock candy crackle glaze with a little glitter for the holly.

Check out the amazing inspiration from the DT ladies and come and join in the fun.

BBTB2 - Christmas in July

Good Morning! Hope you all enjoyed a good weekend.

Today is a new challenge over at BBTB2 and it is my turn to host.
The theme is Christmas in July. So any project Christmas related made with your cricut.
Most of you know I love making 3D things and I went with a gift box...

I used TBBM2 to make this box to put these little Molton Brown soaps in.

The box is cut at 9" and the DP is Nordic Christmas by First Edition.

I used Dec 25th to cut the snowflake at 2.5" and a Leanne Creatief poinsettia die for the flower.

A little inking and a greeting from LOTV to complete it.

These are going to be table gifts for Christmas for the ladies.
I shall add their names to each box.

My DT sisters have lots more wonderful projects to inspire you.
It's a great time to get a head start on the festive season and I'm looking forward to seeing your seasonal creations.

Christmas Gift Bags

This is my second post of the day,for my FCCB post click here.

We have a new challenge over at BBTB2,the lovely Suzanne has asked us to decorate a gift bag or gift tag using cricut cuts. I love making gift bags so this was right up my alley.
I have 2 different projects to share with you.

My first is a vintage feel bag....

I used an old favourite, TBBM to make the bag cut at 4.5" and used a MS punch for the edge.
The DP is the Turtle Dove Collection by Kaisercraft. The wreath is cut at 2" from Dec 25th and has clear rock candy distress crackle paint on it. The sentiment is from Jingle All the Way by My Craft Spot. A wire handle and ribbon, hemp and a wood button just to finish it off.

My next bag I kept really simple and modern...

I added this cute little gingerbread boy from Create a Critter 2 to a plain gift bag.
He's cut at 3" and it didn't take many embellishments to  pretty the bag up. Just popped him up with 3d foam for effect.

There is lots of stunning inspiration for you over at BBTB2,so do check it out and hope you come and join in the fun. I am so pleased to have a couple of bags done ready for the festive season.

Looking forward to seeing your bags or tags.
