Penny Black Recycle Challenge

Hello my friendly bloggers...gasp...yes I'm posting for a third time this week.
Lol!

Well when you've picked yourself up off the floor my friends I'll show you my project.

Over at Penny Black Saturday Challenge - #202,the theme is Recycling.
Now as you all know I am a cricuteer but I still like to use other craft techniques.
This week they want to see your Penny Black image and some recycling.

Disclaimer : If my hubby asks I have no idea where the cornflakes box went to!!!

For this challenge I decided I would make a notelet set and holder.

I used the sizzix XL bag caddy die to cut the cornflake box. In the interest of taking photos to show my recycling,I then used K&Co Watercolour Bouquet paper and die cut again to mod podge to the front of my caddy. It would have been so much easier to attach paper to cardboard first and then cut!

Betsy Bluebell is the stamp image by Penny Black. The ribbon is also recycled from another project.
Even the cards are made from the box, just re-covered in paper.Glossy accents added to my image in places too. Sorry, just realised my photos are a bit blurry!

Hubby and I had a day of golf yesterday which was fantastic, just a shame it was the hottest day of the year! I always carry my bag... by the time we played again in the evening with our son,I progressed to a trolley!!

Catch up with you all soon.

ConGradulations!

Hello my friends, how is your week going?

I decided to make a card using Wild Card 2 to enter into a few challenges as I don't seem to

Today he sat a level 6 test (Year 8) exam. We are so proud of him.

All cuts were at 4" and lots of inking, embossing and 3d foam.
The little grad hat and scroll are from All Around Everything Accessories
The cute tag and sentiment is from Tiny Tags from

I am entering this in the following challenges:-

My Craft Spot - Congratulations
Welch Creations - Use at least 1 svg or cricut cut. Do check out Ashley's

Tealight lamp

Hello Everyone, hope you are having a good week.

I have a tealight lamp I would like to share with you today. I have been making lots of pillow
boxes and various gifts recently.
With the Diamond Jubilee just a few weeks away I have started to make some things to commemorate.

I love candles(yankee being my favourite!), and always have lots lit around the house especially in the evening. So here is a lampshade I stamped and distressed......

It looks lovely lit up,just doesn't take a good piccie that way.

I used Papermania stamps and masking tehnique.

I will share some of my other projects, just need to take some photos and I have been lazy as
our weather has been so poor, conditions are so dull!!

Thanks for looking and about to do some long overdue visiting!

From the bakery..

Happy Monday! Today is a new challenge over at BBTB2.
The lovely Julie asked us to create something you would find in a bakery using a cricut cut from any cartridge.

I decided to make a cake box...

I  didn't hide any of the fold cuts on my gypsy as I felt it gave the box a
'self assembly feel' as in a bakery.....works in my mind!!

A close up of my cupcake when the rock candy crackle glaze had dried.

Recipe

Sweet Tooth Boxes - 8"
Art Philosophy - cake - 1.5"
DP - MME - Howdy Doody
Rock Candy Crackle Glaze
Kanban ticket stamps
Cinkle Ribbon - My Craft Spot

Added acetate to my window, which I embossed and a pin to my bow.

I made the cupcake especially for the box...didn't take the boys long to polish off the lot!!

Do check out my talented fellow team mates and we would love to see your cricut projects with a bakery theme over at BBTB2.

Thanks for looking.

BBTB2 - Frame Challenge

Hi,happy Monday. Hope you had a good weekend.

Today is a new challenge over at  BBTB2.
The lovely Melissa is hosting our challenge this week and wants everyone
to create a project using a frame from any Cricut cartridge.
The Design Team were given the extra challenge of using it on a layout!

I have to say I have never made a layout before!

I made this for my parents, just need to add their photo.
I made it into a wall hanging as it seems a shame to put away in a book and it is very dimensional!!
....sorry to all your scrapbookers out there!! lol.

Recipe
Storybook for all cuts
Poppy frame 8"
flower 2.75"
leaf 2.25"
butterfly 2.5"
mats 2.75" & 3"
Bo Bunny DP
Ticket and sentiment
CTMH - Zoology
Art Philosophy ticket cut

We would love to see your projects with a frame cricut cut. Do check out the amazing projects from the rest of the team over at BBTB2.

Looking forward to seeing your creations. You have 2 weeks to link up.
