Bitten By The Bug 2

Please scroll down for My Craft Spot post.

Long before I even owned a cricut I used to visit Bitten By The Bug.
The inspiration was always amazing and I was blown away by how creative and talented
these ladies were. I longed for a cricut and dreamed of being so creative.

Well, nothing has changed over at BBTB2,the ladies are all  immensely talented and
I am so excited and delighted to be chosen to be on the Design Team with them!!

This week's challenge is to use an Ice Cream Cone cricut cut.
Check out all the great inspiration and link your project up.
I do hope you join us at BBTB2

Thanks for stopping by.

Hello friends, how is your week going?

Today I have a card (or 2) again with a birthday theme. I really am trying to build my stash!!
When I was cutting this out I cut an extra one...and although not a very big set,it's still more than 1!! lol

Here is my other version...

Recipe
Stretch Your Imagination -  bike cut at 3"
Best Friends for 3.5" background paper
4th of July Twine
MS punch for grass
Whimsy sentiments and die

I used Rock Candy crackle glaze for the frame.

I am entering these over at FCCB - challenge #108 - On the Go.

Birthday Balloons Card Set

Hi,hope you had a good weekend.

I don't know if anyone else has this problem, but for all the special cards I make, I still never have a spare birthday card for last minute or when I've forgotten!!

April is a busy month for friends and family birthdays and I covered all the really special ones but needed a couple of general ones.

The challenge last week over at BBTB2 is to use cricut cut balloons and make a birthday card.
I came up with the simplest card ever! I was all set to send it and then decided I would make 4 more to have a set for when needed. I have a friend who chooses a simple design and makes variations for all her friend's birthdays,so always has a card on hand.

I really like how they turned out. I could have made it much easier and quicker by leaving out the embossing, inking and tying twine but although produced en mass I still wanted them to be special.

Recipe

Art Philosophy - card and mat cut at 5"
Create a Critter - balloons cut at 3.5"
Tiny Tags stamp set and assorted twines from My Craft Spot
Distress Inks and 3D foam

I started with pink balloons but then added blue ones so they would be more gender neutral.
I think they will work for some of my son's 11 year old friends as they are a perfect size to add money to!

I do like making unique and individual cards but I think I am going to challenge myself to make a set of cards on a regular basis. I sometimes do them as gifts for other people but not usually for me! I also get bored after the first 2!!

Perhaps another set next month....did I really write that?!! Lol!

There's still time to enter the challenge over  at BBTB2.
Do check out the creative DT and entries, lots of fabulous inspiration.

I am also entering this over atPaper Playtime Challenge#72 - Say it with Sentiments - Birthday.
Today is a 'playday' for me in my craft room.
Hope you have  a great day too.

Surprise!

Hello and Happy Monday Everyone!
Sorry I have been mising for so long,we had a great holiday.
I used to play lots of golf (competively too) and had forgotten how much I love this daft game!

10 days without crafting?!?

Today is a new challenge over at My Craft Spot.
Challenge #52 is called Make it Pop! We want to see use of dimensionals on your projects.

As many of you know, dimensionals and inking are part of every project I do,so I added extra 'pop' with a jack in the box! C'mon, you know my lateral thinking (read warped mind/sense of humour!) by now!!
It took me forever to get into crafting mode after such a big break. But I think it turned out great.

Recipe

Nate's ABC's - cut at 5"
DP - MME - Blink of an eye and Complete Boy
Stamps - Birthday Wishes and Tiny Tags - My Craft Spot
Dew drops and tiny staples
4$th of July Twine - My Craft Spot

I made a twine to for his cap.

Do pop over and check out my talented friends on the design team over at
My Craft Spot.Looking forward to seeing your creations.

I hope to catch up with you all in the next couple of days.
