BBTB2 - Christmas Tree Card

Hi Everyone, hope you had a great weekend.
Today is my turn to host over at BBTB2 and I challenged the team to make a card with a Christmas tree on it.

I used Hello Kitty for this shaped card and added a bit of Frantage chunky enamel and some chunky glass glitter. The banner and bows are dies from Mama Elephant.
The star looks better now the glue has dried!

Do check out the inspiration from the team and come and play along.

My lovely friend Kate has made me an advent calendar and I just wanted to share a couple of photos of how lovely it is!

The reindeer is felted and I have a bit of an obsession about deers!
Ossian's name means little deer.

Brown paper packages tied up with string....
Are you singing yet? lol!

Thanks Kate! It's fabulous!

I am entering my card in the challenge over at Fantabulous Cricut.

Thanks for stopping by.

White on White Ornament Card

Hi, hope you had a great weekend.
Our lovely Julie is our host this week over at BBTB2 and she has asked us to make a white on white project.

I think white on white is so wintry and pretty!

I used Art Philosophy for the bauble at 6".
Dec 25th for the holly and Deck the Halls.
I glittered the words and embossed the background for lots of different texture.

I added rock candy crackle glaze with a little glitter for the holly.

Check out the amazing inspiration from the DT ladies and come and join in the fun.

Well the week flew along again!
But it's the weekend and I hope you all have fun things planned.

Our Fun Friday challenge this week over at Little Scrap Pieces is Shape Up!
Anything but an A2 card.

I used Wild Card 2 for this fun card cut at 4.5"
I haven't added a sentiment yet as I thought it would be great for my stash ( don't know about you but for all the cards I make I never have any on hand!!). Could be new home or holiday.

I made a different version too.

Shaped cards are always fun, check out the ladies as they have some fabulous ones to share and hope you join us in this challenge.

Nappy Card and Exciting News!!

Good Morning. Hope you had a great weekend and are raring to go for the new week ahead!
We have had an exciting time and I have some great news to share at the end of this post.

Monday brings a new challenge over at BBTB2 and the lovely Caroline has asked us to use our cricuts to Welcome  Baby.

I really like how this turned out!

I bought CTMH Artiste for this particular cut alone! I couldn't have shared the card with you as it was funny in my world (and my friend whom I made the incontinence knickers for (a special birthday!!)!
But yes....I know...I have a warped sense of humour at times!

Here is the card opened up.

I used Artiste for all cuts.
Card at 4"
Pin at .75"
It's a boy at 2"
I inked and machine stitched the card.
Glossy accents on the pin and mirri board for the pin itself.

I added ribbon and a baby tag - die and sentiment from My Creative Time.

There's a huge variety of projects for your inspiration from my DT sisters so do check them out and come and join in the fun.

I don't share a lot of personal information on my blog but some of you may remember me mentioning our son, Ossian, took up golf last Easter. He is 12 and now has a handicap of 11.7

On Saturday he qualified to play in the  Asian World  Junior  Championships in Jakarta!
We are immensely proud of and excited for him.
It takes place at the beginning of June .
I will be round to catch up with you all this week.

Thanks for stopping by.

I did something completely unusual for me and kept it really simple.

I cut him from Hello Kitty at 5" and thought he was lovely as he was.

Rose

Good Morning and welcome to Jayne Designs.
The start of a new week and a new challenge over at BBTB2.
This week our lovely Glenda asked us to make a cricut project with a rose.

In my household a yellow rose represents true love. Now I say that for a reason
as when I looked up rose colour meanings, it was a whole different thing!!
I'll run with my interpretation as I like it best and it was the reason I chose the colour!!

Most of  you know my 'special' relationship I have with my Gypsy...
but since I only have Indie Art on it I  had to use it! Let's leave it at that shall we?! lol
The rose shadow was welded and layers cut at 5.82" ( just bizarre!).
K&Co papers, inked and dimension layers shaped with silicone glue.
A touch of diamond glaze.
Leaves cut from flower shoppe and crackle glazed and then rubbed
with vintage photo distress ink.
Sentiment from Teeny Tag Greetings from My Creative Time.

Do check out my talented Design Team sisters over at BBTB2 and  come and join in the fun
with us. We love to see your creations.

Thanks for stopping by.
Hugs

ConGradulations!

Hello my friends, how is your week going?

I decided to make a card using Wild Card 2 to enter into a few challenges as I don't seem to
have had time to play for ages!
This is such a fun cartridge.

My son is in his last term of junior school (Year 6) and has just finished doing his Sats.
Today he sat a level 6 test (Year 8) exam. We are so proud of him.

All cuts were at 4" and lots of inking, embossing and 3d foam.
The little grad hat and scroll are from All Around Everything Accessories
The cute tag and sentiment is from Tiny Tags from

I am entering this in the following challenges:-

Fantabulous Cricut - 'You Did It' - Make a Graduation project
My Craft Spot - Congratulations
Welch Creations - Use at least 1 svg or cricut cut. Do check out Ashley's
blog and play along if you can.
Celebrate the Occasion - Graduation
Thanks for looking.

Where did you come from?

Hi Everyone, hope your weekend was good. My Lovely Mum was 70 at the weekend and we went to visit and celebrate with her. We all had lots of fun and laughs. I will share  a couple of the special things I made for  her later in the week!

This year I have decided to try and use the challenges I enter to make cards for my family and friends as I am really poor at letting my creations go!!!

One of my favourite challenge sites is BBTB2 and they have a current challenge to use the caterpillar cut from Walk in my Garden.  I could have gone down the foliage route but decided  on this particular shaped card as it is for a birthday boy this week. We still haven't any snow here yet but we are now waking up to frosty mornings and what little boy doesn't like bugs?

WIMG - caterpillar cut at .75"
Hello Kitty - snowman card  cut at 6"
Twigs embossed
I hand cut the felt as struggled cutting it on the cricut!

I am entering this card over at the following challenges :-
BBTB2 - caterpillar from WIMG
FCCB - Snow Fun - use a snowman or snowflake
Birthday Sundaes - photo inspiration, must use a snowman,(I included blue and green too)
The Cuttlebug Spot - Winter scene to include texture such as felt
Little Scrap Pieces - Anything goes
It's ages since I've managed to enter multiple challenges with one card and you are all my favourite sites! lol

Thanks for stopping by.
I am playing catch up with commenting but have found just a few of my friends that blogger isn't allowing me to comment! Just wanted those of you that I haven't caught up with to know it's not through lack of trying!

Have a great Monday.

Oh Christmas Tree!

Hi and happy Monday everyone. Hope you had a great weekend. We are still having a heatwave ( I'm just ready for autumn to start again now!).
I don't work on a Monday and was super busy with chores and bricklaying over the weekend that I decided to have a leisurely day.
I was taken out for lunch to a lovely pub right on the sea front and it was just fabulous.

When I got home I had an hour before doing the school run and decided to make a Christmas card to enter over at My Pink Stamper. Robyn is having a christmas card challenge to help us get ahead with our christmas cards.

Well, you know how much I 'love' my gypsy!! Not!! But I did get it out to design this card and it went well this time....ooh except for one small detail..I'll come back to that in a minute.

How cute is that red cardinal,I think it adds a lovely touch of colour.

Recipe
I welded and flipped the shadow cut of this tree from Winter Woodland. Now, I struggle with sizing the layers because even if I put in the same size the gypsy says it hardly ever turns out right for me!
So I thought I would be clever and put the width of 1 tree in as 3" before I welded. My shaped card cut out well and I decided I would cut the layers from the cartridge, the only thing is that's height not width....see not so clever was I? The height on the gypsy read 4.3" so I cut at 4.25". Learnt that lesson, Lol!
I ran the blue of the tree through an embossing folder and inked all edges. The 'snow' was cut from DCWV glitter card.
The red cardinal was cut at 1" - chopped his legs off! Ha,it's a good job he can fly!
Popped everthing with 3d foam and stamped the inside with Emma's Mixed Holiday Sentiments from My Creative Time.

To show the dimension.

Thought this showed the glittery snow better.

I'm really pleased how this turned out and think I'm going to make a few of these as they are so quick and easy!

Thanks for calling by.
