Fantabulous Cricut Design Team

Hello my friends, hope you have had a good week and a great weekend.
I plan to make it in to my craft room this week!

I have some exciting news to share with you today.
I am delighted to say that I am now on the Fantabulous Cricut Design Team.
You all know how much I love my cricut and this is a fabulous challenge blog.
My first project is in a couple of weeks.

I have a very quick and easy box to share with you.

My Son is just about to finish Junior School this term and he wants to give some of his friends a small gift.
I used TBBM2 (I know...what else?!!..lol)
I cut this box at 8" and it takes no glueing at all to stay together!
It is a perfect size for sweets or stationary items.
I used crinkle ribbon and Tiny Tags stamp set from My Craft Spot.
Kimberly is bringing some new stamps and dies out soon.
Can't wait to see them.

I do hope you can join in the cricut challenges over at
Fantabulous Cricut - #117 - BBQ Time
BBTB2 - Patriotic

Thanks for stopping by.
Hugs

Rose

Good Morning and welcome to Jayne Designs.
The start of a new week and a new challenge over at BBTB2.
This week our lovely Glenda asked us to make a cricut project with a rose.

In my household a yellow rose represents true love. Now I say that for a reason
as when I looked up rose colour meanings, it was a whole different thing!!
I'll run with my interpretation as I like it best and it was the reason I chose the colour!!

Most of  you know my 'special' relationship I have with my Gypsy...
but since I only have Indie Art on it I  had to use it! Let's leave it at that shall we?! lol
The rose shadow was welded and layers cut at 5.82" ( just bizarre!).
K&Co papers, inked and dimension layers shaped with silicone glue.
A touch of diamond glaze.
Leaves cut from flower shoppe and crackle glazed and then rubbed
with vintage photo distress ink.
Sentiment from Teeny Tag Greetings from My Creative Time.

Do check out my talented Design Team sisters over at BBTB2 and  come and join in the fun
with us. We love to see your creations.

Thanks for stopping by.

Throwback Thursday Colour Challenge

Hi Everyone,hope you've had a great week.
We had lots of fun over the long weekend and it has certainly made this short week fly!!

Whilst my son was away in a golf match(we have gales!!! - no surprise..the course closed part way through the match!!). I decided to make a card to join in with a challenge as it seems a while since I have.

I really liked how this card turned out and was going to give it to my son, then realising how close Father's Day is  and the fact I have loads of extra days at work coming up before the school hols start, thought I needed to get a head start and turned it into father's Day instead.

Recipe
Wrap It Up - bag at 4"
Fence at 3"
All Around Everything stamps and scalloped die from My Creative Time
Embossing, sanding, inking, doodling and lots of 3d foam
Machine stitching to echo stitched die
Golf ball brad

Sorry about my picture quality but if I set up my light studio I wouldn't have time to post!!

I am entering this over at Emma's Throwback Thursday - use an older
cricut cart (see ..no Wild Card 2 - heehee!) and a colour challenge.

Also entering this over at CardzTv -#10 My Guy

Thanks for stopping by.

Caught on You

Hello Everyone, hope you all had a good weekend.
This is a scheduled post as we are still enjoying our 4 day weekend of celebrations!

Today is a new challenge over at BBTB2 and the lovely Sandi has asked us to use our cricuts
to make a project to do with water.

All layers cut at 4.5" from Wild Card 2. (It's ok...my fascination with this cart is fixed and I will use something different for my next project..lol!!)
I  embossed and sanded everything and shock! horror! only inked 1 part of my card!!
I haven't added a sentiment yet as it may be birthday or Father's day.

This was such a simple card to make and I was pleased with how it turned out.
My fellow DT have made some fabulous projects to do with water so do check them out
and we love it when you come and join in with us over at BBTB2.

Thanks for looking.
I will catch up with everybody really soon.

The Queen's Diamond Jubilee

Hello Friends,I just wanted to check in quickly and say Hi!
This weekend is the Queen's Diamond Jubilee and we have a 4 day weekend holiday
to celebrate.
The bunting's out and the partying has begun!!
I love the way an event such as this brings everyone together.

There are so many fun events going on that I won't be around for a couple of days.
The village I live in has lots of parties and entertainment happening.
Of course our weather has deserted us...but it wouldn't be British if it stayed!!! Lol.

I've also been busy making cakes and little gifts and here is a selection of some of it....

I have  a scheduled DT post for tomorrow and plan to catch up with you all
really soon.

Hope your weekend is wonderful too!
