BBTB2 - Back to School

This is my second post of the day, for the Fantabulous Cricut Crawl
Back to School,click here.

The wonderful Brenda over at BBTB2  has given us a
Back to School cricut challenge.

Here is my card...

I used Wild Card 2 for the note book card, cut at 4.5".

The sentiment and scallop stitched circle is from My Creative Time.

My son starts senior school next week and his tie is maroon
and silver..my crafty stash didn't have that colour ribbon so I made it
pink and brown instead!

I have to say we are so very proud of Ossian,he won the highest award he
could get at the end of last term - The Clanfield Star award.
Only given to one pupil at the end of their junior school years.
All his mates and teachers signed his t-shirt!

Also..sorry ,one last thing...

CONGRATULATIONS OSSI!

He started playing golf at Easter  and he won the
Golf Club Junior Championship on Saturday.
He's 11 years old.

I think I ought to start scrapbooking!!

Thank you for indulging me a proud Mum moment!

Now,back to the challenge. There's lots of  inspiration from the amazing
Design Team over at BBTB2.

As you know I am on the DT for FCCB  and BBTB2. They both are cricut challenge blogs and this week they have the same challenge,so do enter both.

There is blog candy on my FCCB post as it is a blog hop. So do check it out.
If the winner of my blog candy has submitted a project at both FCCB and BBTB2 then I will add an
extra surprise to their candy! Leave me a comment on this post so I know.
Just a reminder..BBTB2 is now a weekly challenge.

Looking forward to seeing all your gorgeous creations.

Suitcase Box

For my FCCB post please scroll down.

Hello and welcome to my second post of the day.
The lovely Carole, over at BBTB2 , is our host this week and has asked us to
create  a Vacation cricut project.

As you are reading this I am on holiday in (hopefully) sunny Cornwall.
Perfect timing for a vacation themed challenge I think!

I love the sizzix scoreboard die that makes a suitcase but don't own it and with having a cricut
I am reluctant to buy it.
Of all the cricut carts I own I couldn't find a suitcase box,so this is where I got creative!!

I used Artiste for the box, which opens at the top of the suitcase and Fabulous Finds
for the handle and luggage tag.
How dinky is that tag?

Obviously I had to add a bit of inking, sanding, embossing and stamping!
Without the inking and sanding I could really speed things up for myself
but hey I wanted it to look worn and well travelled!!

If anyone would like more details on how I made it,I will do a tutorial when I am
back from holiday.

Now check out the inspiration from the amazing ladies over at BBTB2
and come and join in the fun.

National Tooth Fairy Day

Happy Monday Everyone. Today over at Fantabulous Cricut we are celebrating National Tooth
Fairy Day.
For this week's challenge #125,we want to see a project using a
tooth,tooth fairy or smile.
Don't forget there has to be a cricut cut as we are a cricut challenge blog.

Many of you know I work with teeth but this challenge was nothing to do with me!
My tooth fairy and tooth were from A Child's Year which my lovely friend,Kate,
kindly lent me.
I made a pillow box from TBBM2 and embossed with clouds and added
the fab sentiment, which I love, from My Creative Time.

Do check out all the inspiration from the fab DT over at
FCCB and come and join in the fun.

My blog is like a bus, nothing for ages and then lots come along! LOL!
Back later with another project!!

Thanks for looking

embossing folder.

I am back from holiday.

Olympic Photos

Hi Friends, hope you are having a good week.

Here are a few piccies from the Olympics.
As I said the atmosphere was amazing, the whole country seemed to buzz
for the entire two weeks.
With the Queen's Diamond Jubilee and then the Olympics,Britain has been awash with
colourful bunting and positivity. So good to see so many happy faces!

We had tickets for the men's semi final hockey,Australia v Germany.
This is the 'smurf turf '.

My Hubby with the ArcelorMittal Orbit in the background.
120 metres high viewing platform.

My Son in the Olympic Park.

Our gold medallist Jessica Ennis.
This photo was from a friend as we weren't at the athletics.

Hugs and Giggles...

Hello Everyone. Weren't the Olympics fantastic?
The atmosphere at the Olympic park was just electric.
I have some photos to post later this week.
Maybe now I'll find it into my craft room!!....Not for too long though
as I am off on holiday next weekend.

Today the outrageously talented Shelly is our host over at BBTB2 and has asked us to use
an elephant cricut cut from any cartridge.

If you haven't come here from BBTB2,then do pop over and check out the projects from the
DT ladies as there is some amazing inspiration!

I made this card for my brother-in-law and his fiancee as they have just got engaged.
I like the fun element to it but it may end up as an anniversary card as the rest
of the household don't see elephants as appropriate!!!
The happy couple compete in triathlons....

A close up of my elephant couple, cut from ZooBalloo, inked, sanded and doodled.
Heart from George, grass from Create a Critter.
The sentiment is from Prima and I love it.I didn't have an engagement stamp but thought
this sentiment was just perfect.

Can't wait to see what you create and don't forget we still have Fly Away open for
another week.

I plan to catch up with all my bloggy friends today.
I also have a Guest Design spot later this week and
a fun birthday blog hop.

Hugs
Jayne x

Fly Away

This is my second post of the day,
for my Jump In and Cool Off card click here.

The awesomely talented Jeri is our host this week at BBTB2 and the theme is
Fly Away.
We want to see your hot air balloons and if you don't have a cricut cart with
one on,then you can use an airplane.

I cut this at 5" from Wild Card 2.
And look....no embossing!!!!
My Vagabond died on me!!...then started kicking out plumes of acrid smoke!!
But hats off to The Glitter Pot who replaced it and have sent it
back to Ellison.(It was torture having to have a trip out to this fab craft shop!   lol!!
Had to do a bit of crafty shopping...it would be rude not too....and
Christmas was calling my name!!)

There's lots of fabulous inspiration from the ladies over at BBTB2.
We love it when you join in,just remember your air balloon or plane must be a cricut cut.
