Art Philosophy Wedding Card

Hi, Monday already,  which means it's time for a new challenge over at BBTB2.

The lovely Julie is our host this week and has set a Wedding/Anniversary Challenge.
My brother in law, Mike, is marrying his fiancée, Tara, so I made a personalised card for them.

I used Art Philosophy for the card , cut at 6".

I decorated the back and inside.

The layers are cut at 3.25" and the letters at 1.5"
I used silicone glue for the dimension so it wouldn't show up.

The DP is J'Adore by First Edition  and is already embossed and you know I can't not ink all the edges.....I could make the card in half the time if I didn't..lol!!

Just added a sentiment from My Creative Time and a pin, twine and glossy accents.

Hopefully the Happy Couple will like it.

The DT girls have lots to inspire you so do check them out and can't wait to see your projects.

Congrats!

Hi Everyone, where did another week go?

It's time for another Fun Friday Challenge over at Little Scrap Pieces and this week the challenge is Buttons and Bows. Use at least one button and one bow on your project.

I stayed with a golfing theme...

I made this card for our son. Art Philosophy for the card, Create a Critter 2 for the green and outfit (the colours my son plays in!) . Teddy Bear Parade for the teddy bear. I wrote his age on the flag.

Karen and the girls have some fabulous projects to share so do check them out and hope you come and join us with this fun challenge.

Have a wonderful weekend.

Note Card Set

Hi Everyone! It seems like Spring has finally sprung at long last.

I am having lunch with a friend I haven't seen for a  while and decided to make her a little gift of a set of notecards.

I am going to tie these together with some pretty ribbon.

The cards, envelopes and sentiments are all from My Creative Time.

The flowers and greenery are from Sizzix and called Fancy Label and Flowers.

I am entering these over at Die Cuttin Divas - flower challenge.

I'll be back tomorrow with my male card.
Have a great day.

Man Up!

Hi Everyone, hope you had a fab weekend.
Today is my turn to host at BBTB2 and since I live in a predominantly male household and am always needing male themed cards and gifts  I chose the challenge of Man Up!
to make a bag, box or container with your cricut for that man in your life.

As you know our son is playing in the Junior Golf World Champs so I decided to go with a golf theme. We have trillions (and no...not exaggerating!!) of golf cards around the house and apparently some are too precious to throw away (and I include hubby in this!!). Problem sorted in the shape of a file folder to keep them in. I used Artiste  and cut it at 5.25" which was a perfect size for the cards.

I used TBBM2 to make a milk carton (cut at 6") and used a SU punch to make a slot before assembling. Thought this was perfect as a money box and since it is glued together the only way to get to the money is to rip it apart!

I used Life's a Party and my Gypsy for the words and Create a Critter 2 at 2" for the green.
The main paper was Bo Bunny - Noel Stripe.
Washi tape for the edging.
Lots of inking and 3D foam.
The label on the file is also Artiste at .5"

I am going to make more of these folders as I think they will look fab as a set.
I was on a bit of a role and I also made some cards but they don't fit this challenge so I will have a 'male' themed blog week!

My Design Team sisters really rose to the challenge and they have some wonderful inspiration for you so do check them out. I know you guys love a challenge too, so I can't wait to see your amazing projects.

I am entering these over at FCCB in their 3D challenge.

Bundle of Joy

Hi, hope you had a good week.
Friday already which means it's time for another Fun Friday Challenge over at Little Scrap Pieces.

This week Karen has asked us to make a baby themed card, layout or project.
I made a nappy card at the beginning of the week for our BBTB2 cricut baby challenge and wanted to go for a completely different style with these ones.

I used my gypsy to make these pretty cards.
Because I designed it on my gypsy and all layers were on the one page it made it very easy to make a set of them.
The papers are a combination of an old DCWV baby girl stack and a First Edition  stack.
The sentiment is from My Creative Time.

My fellow teamies have lots to inspire you with so do check them out and come and play along.

Thanks for looking.
Have a great weekend.

Spring Box

Hi, I think Spring is finally here!

To encourage it I decided to make a spring scene box.

Recipe

I painted and covered a box with MME Collectable Memorable papers.
All the cuts are from Walk in My Garden except the fence which is a Memory Box die.
The sentiment is from Butterfly Kisses at My Craft Spot.

I am  entering this into My Craft Spot Anything Goes Challenge.

Thanks for looking.

Nappy Card and Exciting News!!

Good Morning. Hope you had a great weekend and are raring to go for the new week ahead!
We have had an exciting time and I have some great news to share at the end of this post.

Monday brings a new challenge over at BBTB2 and the lovely Caroline has asked us to use our cricuts to Welcome  Baby.

I really like how this turned out!

I bought CTMH Artiste for this particular cut alone! I couldn't have shared the card with you as it was funny in my world (and my friend whom I made the incontinence knickers for (a special birthday!!)!
But yes....I know...I have a warped sense of humour at times!

Here is the card opened up.

I used Artiste for all cuts.
Card at 4"
Pin at .75"
It's a boy at 2"
I inked and machine stitched the card.
Glossy accents on the pin and mirri board for the pin itself.

I added ribbon and a baby tag - die and sentiment from My Creative Time.

There's a huge variety of projects for your inspiration from my DT sisters so do check them out and come and join in the fun.

I don't share a lot of personal information on my blog but some of you may remember me mentioning our son, Ossian, took up golf last Easter. He is 12 and now has a handicap of 11.7

On Saturday he qualified to play in the  Asian World  Junior  Championships in Jakarta!
We are immensely proud of and excited for him.
It takes place at the beginning of June .
I will be round to catch up with you all this week.

Thanks for stopping by.

Little Scrap Pieces - Bring May Flowers

Hi, today is a new challenge over at Little Scrap Pieces.
We want to see your projects with a flower on.

I ordered a melt pot last week and planned to use beeswax on today's project...but it hasn't come yet!
So I improvised with modge podge....but it distorted the tissue paper!!

My mini canvas was painted and then I stamped my Tim Holtz sentiment onto tissue and used the modge podge to attach it.
I used Paperartsy's grunge paste for texture and added more paint.

The flower and leaf are memory box dies.

Check out all the awesome inspiration from my DT sisters and come and join in the fun.
Have a great weekend.

Dance in the Rain!

Hi Everyone,how are you doing?

Today is a new challenge over at BBTB2 and our lovely and talented Brenda has asked us to use a cricut cut umbrella for our April Shower theme.

So I decided to combine a Tim Holtz sentiment stamp and make a wall hanging for my new utility room.

I sponged and inked a plaster textured plaque.
Used Teddy Bear Parade for the cuts and added some inking and glossy accents.
I used a Peachy Keen face from the Everyday Character Face Assortment set and stamped the Tim Holtz sentiment.

A close up off the glossy umbrella.

It looks lovely hanging up but unfortunately I couldn't get a good picture.

So do check out all my talented Design team sisters wonderful projects and fire up your cricut and come and play along.

I am also entering this over at The Peachy Keen Connection for April Challenge #1.
The lovely Tanya Adams is hosting this challenge so do pop over and have a look.

It's the second week of school Easter holidays here and in between work, golf, decorating and tiling time has been extremely tight! But hoping to get more craft time this week.

Thanks for visiting.

Clowning Around!!

Hi,hope you are enjoying the long weekend.
Today is a new challenge over at BBTB2 and Susan has asked us to use the clown from Teddy Bear Parade.

My card base is cut at 4" from Art Philosophy.
The background is embossed and inked.
My clown is cut at 3". A PK face and some doodling and glossy accents.
I hand cut ribbon to make bunting.
The ticket stamp and die are from My Creative Time.

As it's April  Fool's Day I did think of some alternative uses for my clown bear but decided against it!

At the beginning of each month we are having a Guest Designer join us, so do pop over to BBTB2 and check out  all the wonderful inspiration from the team and to meet our GD.
I can't wait to see who it is...
