Jakarta

Hi, hope you are having a fab weekend.

I understand Google reader is finishing tomorrow, so I have signed up to bloglovin. If you want to continue following my Blog please click on the button on the right or my Network button.

I appreciate all my followers and visitors, thanks.

I just thought I would pop in with a few photos from the Asian World Junior Golf Championship.

I have to say these are not great quality as these are a few I have from my camera to my pc.  I mainly used my ipad for photos and video and they came out brilliantly, but,  I still don't know how to transfer them to my blog!!

This is Ossian. He did really well, he finished 16 overall in his category which was very strong.

The opening ceremony ( he is 3rd in from the left at the back!).

Putting on the 18th during a practice round. He's in the blue shorts.
It was in the 40's everyday...heat and humidity was mega!!

We were very proud of how he played and how he coped with the heat.
I could only ever walk round 9 holes to follow...it was punishing!

The experience he gained with the temperature and different grass and meeting all the other competitors was invaluable.

Ossian had to qualify to play in this tournament and has since been invited to Thailand and India to play.

Last weekend he won the Under 14's Club Championship at home in his Hampshire Club.

We have a summer of golf tournaments and matches and as you can imagine life is busy.
I have stepped down some of my DT and blog commitments for the time being as craft time is sparse!

I will still be by to visit your blogs though.

Summer Fun

Happy Monday Everyone!
Today we don't have a challenge for you over at BBTB2 but an inspiration week  and our theme is Summer Fun!
We used our cricuts to make a project for something associated with summer.

I made a tent treat box from Campin' Critters.
I wanted this cart for ever and it took a very long time to be available in the UK and to my shame this is the first time I've used it!!
The DP is Maggie Holmes by Crate paper and all cuts are at 6".
Grass is a MS punch.

My son is off to camp with school soon and I thought I would smuggle a  small treat in his bag!  I know the DP isn't very 'male' themed but I wanted vintage pretty and not boy!! lol.

I just added a little inking and doodling.

I also made a card to match cut at 3".

I much prefer crafted tents to the real thing!!!

Do check out all  the fab inspiration for summer my fellow DT ladies have to share.

Thanks for stopping by.

Message in a Bottle - With a twist!!

Hi, 2 days running... I know,  practically unheard of from me lately!! lol

I wanted to share my 'twisted' message in a bottle. (Love in a jar!)
I have been playing with My Creative Time's chunky jar die and have a project to share later in the week.

I had an extra jar cut and was playing with my Clearly Besotted stamps and dies and decided to make another card for the Anything Goes Challenge.

I used You're a Hoot die and You're a Hoot 2 stamps for this mini card.
I curved the sentiment to fit the shape of the jar.
This will be tucked away ready to hide in hubby's suitcase next time he's away on business.
I have stamped and cut another owl to use as a topper for some chocolate that will go with it...the boys found my secret stash that I use and guess what? Yep...need to go shopping and then find a new hidey hole!!

See you tomorrow.

Ahoy Matey!

Hi, hope you are having a great weekend.

I just wanted to pop in and tell you about a new company (to me) that I have found called Clearly Besotted Stamps. Stephanie Wincott is based here in the UK (yippee...no customs charges!!) and sells her stamps and coordinating dies  here and at Simon Says Stamp for you guys across the pond!

Stephanie has just started running monthly challenges and her first one is Anything Goes.
Today is the first chance I've had to play in my craft room and this is what I came up with...

The card base is cut from Art Philosophy.
Ahoy Matey stamps and die from Clearly Besotted.

All popped up for dimension.
Just added a bit of twine for the anchor rope.
The stamps and dies are fab!

I am entering this into the challenge at Clearly Besotted.
It seems a long time since I've joined in challenges!!

I have a cute little card to share with you tomorrow also to enter in this challenge.
Need to get my DT head on and back to work! Lol!
I know I am still playing catch up with you all, but I'm gradually getting there!!

Thanks for dropping by.

Summer foods

Happy Monday! Hope you had a great weekend.
Today our lovely, talented, Steph is our host over at BBTB2 and the theme is Summer Foods.

I used Just Because Cards for this card. All layers cut at 5".
My Creative Time for the sentiment.

A little inking, embossing and 3d foam for this simple card.
I hope to get some craft time this week as life settles and normal work hours resume!

The DT has loads of great inspiration for you so do check them out and come play along.

I haven't figured out how to get photos from my ipad onto my blog but I have uploaded my camera photos to my PC so I should be able to share some piccies soon.

Thanks for stopping by.

From the Kitchen...

Hi Everyone, how have you all been keeping?

Today the very talented and lovely Shelly has asked us to create a cricut project From the Kitchen over at BBTB2.

I used Wild Card 2 for the card and layers all cut at 4.5"
The DP is Floral Pavillion.
I made a matching envelope but cut it larger at 4.75" because of the dimension of the card.

We had a fab trip and tournament in Jakarta and I will share details and piccies soon but only got back at the weekend and  work is looming!!

I will be around to catch up with you all later this week but in the meantime check out all the amazing projects from my Design Team sisters and come and join in the fun.
