Tissue Box

Hi Everyone, well where do the weekends go?
Hope yours was a good one.

Monday, so that means it's time for a new challenge over at BBTB2. Emily is our hostess this week and has asked us to fire up our cricuts and make a Get Well card.

Unfortunately I missed the 'card' part of the brief!!

I thought a box of tissues are always useful when you're poorly!

I used Artiste for the box cut at fit to page ( 2.5") and flowers cut at 2"

I liked that the lid has a pretty shaped opening and comes off so you can refill it.

supplies: cricut Artiste, DP - Love Collection, My Creative Time - Chunky Jar Accessories, diamond dust

Check out all the fabulous cards from the DT ladies and come and join in the fun.

Simple Teenager Card + Magnetic Platform!

Hi, yay it's the weekend!
Hope you have some fun plans.

This week's challenge calls for a birthday card with numbers using our cricut over at BBTB2.
I needed a teenager card but had just recently made a shaped one for my son so wanted to make something different to that one. I pulled out a few of my favourite dies to make this...

I know it's a different look for me but I really like it.

I used Birthday Bash at .75" for the numbers and used glossy accents.
Everything else was cut on my vagabond. I want to give a really big shout out to my favourite craft item this last year...the sizzix Magnetic Platform for wafer thin dies! No more taping down to keep in position!! No more shims!! I love it! I can put multiple dies down and no movement of the paper or dies every time.

The swirl is a Magnolia doo-hickey die and the rest are all from My Creative Time.

I am entering this over at Simon says Stamp - Anything Goes

Will be back with my winter houses soon.

Smooches!

Hi ,how are you doing? Hope your week is going great.

I have a card which is very different to my usual style to share with you today, which I made to enter into Clearly Besotted's - Love challenge.

It is many years since I did CAS!! I have to say I have been experimenting and really like the results.
Hardest part for me is not inking everything!!! Lol.

I used Clearly Besotted Post It: Love stamp collection. ( I love this stamp set and it has a matching die). The stitched mat and label (love Emma's stitched dies) are from My Creative Time.

I used wink of stella clear glitter brush on the bottom lips. I love the 'smooches' sentiment!

Thanks for looking.

Birthday Presents

Hi, hope you had a good weekend.
Today is a new challenge over at BBTB2 and our lovely Carolyn has set us the challenge of making a birthday card with a number on.

I machine stitched around the parcels. The DP has a fabric look and feel to it (although hard to see in the photo).

I also made another one out of different papers....

I used Birthday Bash at 5" for all cuts except the numbers which were at .5".

This was a bit of a challenge for me as I usually do shaped number cards for children, so I wanted to do something different! I did check with the birthday girls who will receive these that they didn't mind their ages on their cards!!! Hence the numbers are subtle! Lol.

Do check out the DT's projects and come and play along.

Thanks for stopping by.

BBTB2 - Golf Card

Hello friends and welcome to my blog.
Are you raring to go with a brand new year?

Today over at BBTB2, our very talented and lovely Brenda, has asked us to fire up our cricuts and help celebrate National Hobby month by making a project in relation to a hobby.

I have lots of hobbies which include sailing, traveling and reading. (Chatting,  shopping, interior design, being led astray by friends ( and yes you know who you are!!! Lol)).  But my main passions are paper crafting and golf.

Since I share this hobby with my hubby and son, I made a shaped birthday card for my son.

The 'flag' shaped card is from Art Philosophy...I love this cart! It seems to have a bit of everything on it! The golfer is from Create a Friend. The sentiment is by My Creative Time.

Do check out all the fun projects from the DT and come and play along.
We love to see your makes.
