Cricut cut stencils

Happy Monday!
Hope you had a great weekend.

This week over at BBTB2, Maureen has asked us to use our cricuts to cut a stencil.
She is certainly bang on trend, stencils are everywhere!

I used Artbooking for the stencil cut at 5".
I inked my background with mowed lawn, seedless preserves and vintage photo and misted.
Heat dryed and then used Paperartsy Grunge paste over my stencil. I kept it rustic as I wanted the rough texture of wood.

I used Wild Card 2 for the owl at 4".
The DP is MME - So Sophie.
The leaves and sentiment are Paper Smooches...my latest obsession!

This was to show the dimension.

Do check out all the wonderful and varied inspiration from the DT and come and join in the fun. Remember your stencil has to be cut on your cricut.

Hope to catch up with you over the next couple of days.

Thanks for looking.

Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge

Hi, hope you had a great week.
It was school hols last week and it just flew by!

I have recently discovered Paper Smooches (I know, I know ...where have I been?!) and I am loving their stamps and dies.

They have a designer's draft challenge going on, so I decided to play along.

I used My Guy stamps and the Quote Tag for my card. You all know what a golf obsessed house I live in!! lol

I  have  used some Paper Smooches products for my Cricut DT post tomorrow!

For my UK friends there are a few online shops that stock quite a variety of their products, drop me an email if you want to know who I use! Also, Kim, from Paper Smooches offers speedy service and great rates to the UK from the US.

Thanks for stopping by.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Hugs

Love Treats

Hi, did you have a lovely Valentine's Day?
I did, my gorgeous hubby cooked a special dinner for us.

Here are some of the treats I made  for my 2 very special peeps.

I made more treat bags using Tim Holtz bag die and an assortment of dies to decorate them.

Paper smooches 'love' die.

Markle and sparkle had these fab chocolate hearts and I dressed up some doodlebug kraft bags.

I added a big chocolate heart to these bags and then machine stitched them closed.

The pink packet is cut on my cricut with Doodlecharms and I used spellbinder dies for the aperture.

Thanks for looking.
Enjoy your weekend.

Craftroom pictures

Good Morning Everyone. Hope you had a great weekend.
This week over at BBTB2 we are sharing our crafty spaces with you and  how we got into crafting  and a little more about us.

I have always enjoyed crafting, a little of everything.
Whilst I was on maternity leave and my son was a few months old I visited a DIY shop that sold rubber stamps. I had never given them a second glance but there was a card that was 'different'.
It was heat embossed - my new obsession with papercrafting had begun!

This was 12 years ago and my cards were very simple and all my crafty goodies fitted in a small box that I could bring out and use when Ossian was sleeping. Crafting supplies were sparse and really expensive in the UK.

A few years later I bought my first sizzix die cutting machine - do you remember the red push down handle? I was a paper doll Queen!

Eventually I spotted and stalked the Babybug! The prices here were sooo expensive I never even considered buying it. But I had been a good girl and Father Christmas brought me one ...I was hooked.
A couple of years later I upgraded to the Pink Expression. Now the UK has a great range of craft and the internet has made a huge difference.

I now have my own craftroom....

Slight paper hoarder! lol.

I have the things I use most in the drawers behind me.
I love singing and dancing as I craft - see my ipod?
My cricut carts are on hand and easy to get to.

My worst ever investment - the huge paperweight that is my Imagine!

I have a walk in cupboard where I keep anything for altering, material etc.

Can you see the dog treats? Pan loves to curl up with me when I'm crafting.

Love my Vagabond!
See my amethyst crystal? I love crystals and alternative therapies and am qualified in Indian Head Masssage and Reflexology. I don't have time for these at present between family life, work and golf.

See my folder on the chair?

It holds all my metal dies. Makes it so quick and easy to find what I want.

I like it pretty !

Thank you for visiting my crafty world. We would love to see yours so do come and link a photo up over at BBTB2.

I'll be back to show you the first card I ever made!!

Winter Magic

Happy Friday! Yay it's the weekend! Do you have any plans?
Here in the UK we are set to have another awful storm hitting us in the South again!
We are lucky here being on top of a hill (except for the gales), but my heart goes out to all the people whose homes are affected by all the flooding. There seems no let up at all.

I was uploading Monday's BBTB2 post and realised I hadn't shared this little winter scene with you.
I seem to craft allsorts but they don't all make it to my blog!

The house is a Magnolia Doohickey die. I have an obsession with glass domes at the moment and thought it looked pretty lit up in my craftroom!

At Christmas I made lots of different versions for tree decorations and to give to friends.
Unfortunately I never took any photos...such a busy time of year.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a fab weekend.

Love Treat Bag

Hi, hope your week is going well.
Today I am Guest Designer over at My Creative Time.
Thanks Miss Emma!

I cut the Xoxo several times and layered them together for a thicker embellishment.
The bag is a Tim Holtz die and the 'zipper' opening die is ric rac from Magnolia.

I seem to have been on a Valentine fest and will be back tomorrow with another love project! Lol!

Thanks for looking.

BBTB2 - Valentine Match Box

Happy Monday Friends!
Well, it's my turn to host this week's challenge over at BBTB2 and love is in the air!
I challenged my DT sisters to make a Valentine project using a heart.

I made a matchbox of love!!! Yeah...that was a bit sloppy wasn't it?!!

And for the inside....

I included messages, hearts and chocolate.

Supplies: Cricut TBBM, Artbooking, MME - Lost & Found - Record it

I used an oldie but a goodie for the box, TBBM at 3"  and the other cuts were Artbooking.
There's an extra stitched heart die from My Creative Time too.

I am entering this over at :-  FCCB - seeing red.
Simon says Stamp Monday challenge - Love notes (in my box)
My Sheri Crafts - #126 Valentine
Craftin Desert Diva's - Linky Party

Do check out all the fabulous projects from the Design Team and look forward to seeing your Valentine projects.
