BBTB2 - Beach Hut


Good Morning Everyone! Hope you had a great weekend.
Today is a new challenge over at BBTB2 and our lovely Caroline has chosen a beach theme this week.
What a fab challenge as we are enjoying a heatwave in the UK! A summer at last...haven't seen much of one for the last couple of years! We have beach huts at most of our seaside resorts and that was my inspiration for this project.
 
 
I used Sweet Tooth Boxes for the hut cut at 8".
I made some alterations such as adding an opening door and curtains.
I scored lines and sanded back to create sun bleached wood.
 
 
The surfboard was cut at 2.5",flip flops at 1" both from Life's a Beach.
I took this photo in a bunker at the golf course!
 
I rolled card to create legs and added floorboards inside!
 
I am really pleased how this turned out  and looks suitably summery in my conservatory!
 
Fire up your cricuts and come and play in the sand and do check out my DT sisters .... you won't be disappointed.

    This beach hut is adorable Jayne!!! I love the sun worn wood look from your sanding and scoring-perfect look for a beach hut!! The surf board and flip flops just finish it off perfectly! I thought at first you were at the beach when I saw that sand, but then you said you were at the golf course! So funny!!! We just got over a heat wave here, even the pool wasn't cool as the water was 90/94 degrees! I hope you are enjoying the hot weather since you said you don't get it all the time! Hugs!

    How cute!!!!! Love your extra touches-and the surfboard looks ready to go! I love the worn in look-perfect for a beach hut! I too was sure you photographed this at the beach when I saw the sand-LOL!

    Jayne ~ OH MY WORD! I saw this on Facebook yesterday and I knew I would fall in love with it over here too! This is ADORABLE, FABULOUS and totally screams summer! All the little details are PERFECTO! I LOVE how you photographed it in various places ` CLEVER! So happy to hear you all have a summer going on finally!
