Gingerbread Milk Carton Treat Holder

Hello Everyone. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Thank you for all your kind birthday messages you left me. I had a really fun time and was spoilt by my family and friends.

Today is challenge #4 over at Scraptastic Monday and we are to make something for Christmas and not use the colours red, green or gold. You don't have to use one of Cindy's adorable images to join in the fun but click here to check them out. They are really cute.

The image is Cindy's digi called Gingerbread Boy. I coloured with promarkers and white enamel accents for his icing. I hand cut the tag and used a MS  heart punch for the edge.

Last year I made lots of these milk cartons and filled them with chocolate to give to friends for their Christmas table. This one is filled with mini gingerbread  cookies. I did save a couple to scatter around when I took the photo, but somehow They found their way into my mouth before the photo call!!

Check out all of the talented ladies on the DT over at Scraptastic Monday and come and play.  Can't wait to see what you make.

Thanks for looking.

Mice Christmas

Hello, welcome to my blog. Wednesday already! I have had the week off work this week and have been trying to get ahead with DT projects and little makes for my son's school Christmas fayre. Will start sharing  these over the next few days.

I wanted to make a card for a  challenge this morning as it seems forever since I played in any! One of my favourite challenge blogs is over at BBTB2 and their challenge this week is Meow - Mouse Challenge. I don't have that cartridge so I used Winter Frolic for my mouse. Now this card just appeals to my sense of humour!:)

Love the look on Fluffy's face!!

Fluffy is flocked with grey, black and pink and was inked and penned before  the flock was applied.
Lots of ink and dimension.

I am also entering this over at Whimsical Wednesdays challenge which is to add texture.Lots of glitter paper, enamel and glossy accents, ribbon, twine and not to mention flock!
I used all scraps for this card.Winter Frolic for mouse,Paper Dolls Dress Up for cat and Wild Card for circle card.
My creative time for sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by.Would just like to wish all my Friends who celebrate Thanksgiving a Very Happy One.

Hugs
Jayne x

My Craft Spot Winter Release Blog Hop

If you are looking for Cindy's Scraptastic Blog Hop click here.

Hi,it's the weekend.Welcome to My Craft Spot Winter Release Stamp Set Blog Hop. You should have come here from my talented friend Kate but if you just happened to be visiting and would like to start from the beginning go to the fabulous Kimberly of My Craft Spot. I have had so much fun playing with these amazing stamp sets this week.

I am so excited to share my special project with you as this is my favourite item I have made this week. It will have pride of place on my dining table at Christmas.

As a child we had  a snowman that was filled with small treats which were opened on Boxing Day tea.
This was my inspiration as each box section including the hat opens to hide a small gift.
Regular friends to my blog will know I have a passion for boxes and 3D items!

Boxes cut at 8.75",8",7" and 6.5" on Blackout feature on P 119 of Tags,Bags,Boxes and More
All white boxes embossed, inked with tumbled glass distress ink and then decorated with Snowtex mixed with white acrylic paint and water and drizzled with Glamour Dust.
I cut a circle again using the blackout feature  at 3.5" as my hat base.
Strong glue to attach them to each other.

I chalked the edges of the hat with white ink. I added Scarlet Red and Olive Green Crinkle ribbon topped with a wooden button and vintage twine all (except the button) from My Craft Spot.
I quilled a carrot nose from orange card and added black gems for eyes and mouth.

His scarf is made by plaiting Vintage Vanilla,Olive Green and Scarlet Red Crinkle ribbon together and I think it turned out so pretty.

I added buttons tied with twine and stamped the fabulous sentiment from Winter Wonderland on to some brown cardstock which I embossed and inked. I was originally going to hang this from his arms but decided against it.

Mr Snowman's twiggy arms are made from grungeboard(for strength) from Tim Holtz twig die.
Inked with vintage photo and walnut stain distress ink and then given the snow treatment.

The lovely Kimberly has given each DT member a set of her wonderful stamps to give away as blog hop candy,my set is Winter Wonderland,so to be in for a chance to win,be a follower and leave me a comment and a way to contact you. I love this set and know you will too. So for maximum chances to win each set, visit all the stops on the hop and leave a comment on each project.

All the stamp sets go on sale today over at My Craft Spot.
Winners will be announced Tuesday.

Your next stop on the list is the creative Aymee. Here is the hop list in case you get lost.
