Want to see my renovation so far?

I have a few photos to share with you to do with  the building work we have been doing.
It's not complete and we still have things to finish and rooms still very much ongoing.

But my living room is replastered (1 wall) and as another wall will need replastering when electrics moved in the new year we have not redecorated, but we have it set up for Christmas.

Our downstairs cloakroom and utility, need plastering, new wiring and new plumbing but are useable.
But the photos I have are of my kitchen and dining room.

We are slightly more finished since taking these photos, plinths and backing etc.

Today my BFF Kate came around and we made a collection of Santa Teds for our Christmas tables.

Don't they look fab...an army of Santas!!

Thanks for stopping by.

Christmas Gift Bags

This is my second post of the day,for my FCCB post click here.

We have a new challenge over at BBTB2,the lovely Suzanne has asked us to decorate a gift bag or gift tag using cricut cuts. I love making gift bags so this was right up my alley.
I have 2 different projects to share with you.

My first is a vintage feel bag....

I used an old favourite, TBBM to make the bag cut at 4.5" and used a MS punch for the edge.
The DP is the Turtle Dove Collection by Kaisercraft. The wreath is cut at 2" from Dec 25th and has clear rock candy distress crackle paint on it. The sentiment is from Jingle All the Way by My Craft Spot. A wire handle and ribbon, hemp and a wood button just to finish it off.

My next bag I kept really simple and modern...

I added this cute little gingerbread boy from Create a Critter 2 to a plain gift bag.
He's cut at 3" and it didn't take many embellishments to  pretty the bag up. Just popped him up with 3d foam for effect.

There is lots of stunning inspiration for you over at BBTB2,so do check it out and hope you come and join in the fun. I am so pleased to have a couple of bags done ready for the festive season.

Looking forward to seeing your bags or tags.

Snowflake kisses

Hello Everyone,a big welcome to my followers old and new!
I can't believe it has been 2 weeks since I posted! Lots going on at home at the moment. The builders are nearly finished and I am starting to paint ceilings etc inbetween work and family life! We hope to fit our new kitchen next week and then I guess we can think about Christmas!! Lol.

I haven't been online for ages and will catch up with you all as soon as everything calms a little!!

This week's challenge over at FCCB is to make a project with a snowman or snowflake on it. Don't forget there has to be a cricut cut on it.

Here is my card....

I cut my little guy from Snow Folks at 3" and added some embossing, inking and dimension.
The tree is a memory box die and I distressed a chipboard snowflake and added twinklets.

The DP is Snow Day by Bo Bunny and I added (of course as it's my fave thing at the moment!!) Stampendous's frantage chunky white enamel and powder blue fragments for texture.
The lovely sentiment is from White Christmas from My Craft Spot.
White flower soft for the hat.

Do check out all the fabulous inspiration from the FCCB DT and hope you come and join in the fun.

Gratitude

For my FCCB click here.

The talented and lovely Susan has set this week's challenge and it is Gratitude.
We are to create a cricut project for something/someone we are thankful for.

I have lots of things to be thankful for ...Family,Friends,Health,Life

My project today is for someone that I am so very Thankful is in my life..my Son.
I had a very difficult pregnancy and was lucky that both he and I came through it.
Ossian was 12 on Friday and this is the card I made for him....

He took up golf this year and is obsessed with it. His handicap is down to 14 and he is playing for the County. He has been invited to Prep school and School of Excellence for talented players with the potential of taking it further. His birthday card had to be golf!!
He also plays football and is captain of Havant Hockey and goes through for County trials for them in January. Yes,we do run around a lot between all this, work and school!!

Many of you will know that I have a difficult friendship with my Gypsy at times!! Lol. But I did pull it out to make this card.

I used Everyday Paper Dolls and Wrap It Up for the cuts. I have to apologise because I have mislaid my recipe ingredients for this project. If you read my previous post you will know about the building work and I think I just 'filed' my ingredients. I will post them when they reveal themselves!

I would just like to say thank you to Donna and Carole for their leadership and friendship at BBTB2.They are handing over the reins to Susan who I Know will take good care of it.Carole is remaining on the Design Team with us(hurray) and Donna is moving on :(.
Donna we will miss you at BBTB2 and wish you well.

Do check out all the wonderful inspiration from the team and link up your thankful project with us.

Circle Inspiration - Angel Ornament

This is my second post of the day. For FCCB click here.

There is no challenge this week over at BBTB2 instead we are offering inspiration using circles.

At the weekend a friend showed me an angel she had made using SU supplies.( My friend doesn't blog and I didn't think to take a photo!)
I couldn't wait to get home and try to make something similar with my cricut...

and here she is!

Amazingly quick and simple to do!

I used Elegant Edges and cut Circle2 - 5", 4.5" and 2.5"
K&Co double sided papers and cut the circles roughly in half.
There are so many cartridges with circles on.

I rolled one half of the 5" circle and both 2.5" into a cone.
I used my hot glue gun with the silver sparkle glue...it is an Angel after all!!

I cut a 4" length of wire and made some circles big enough to hold the cone. I cut the top off the cone and then put the wire through and glued in position.

I added a bead.

I used half the 4.5" circle and glued onto the join on the cone.
In hindsight I could have used the other half of the 5" circle and therefore didn't really need to cut the 4.5" one at all.

Glued the smaller cones on for arms and added a button as a halo. I have some tinsel but it was the wrong colour for this angel! I made a loop on the end of my wire so I could hang it.

This was my first attempt and I have to say that I am going to make lots more...the possibilities of changing it up now I have the basic recipe are huge...glitter,lace,maybe different cricut wings!!!! Lol!

We will be back with a challenge next week.
Thanks for stopping by.
