BBTB2 - Bird

Hi, Happy Monday!
Melanie is our host this week over at BBTB2 and has asked us to use a bird cut.

I recently bought the Creative Cards cartridge and haven't had much time to play with it so I decided this was a perfect time to play.
All cuts were at 4.5" and the DP is Blank Canvas by first edition.

I added some Fran-tage chunky white embossing enamel.

I used My Creative Time's More of my Favorite Sayings for the sentiment.

I made a matching gift tag with the scraps! I must remember to try and do this more often!! Lol.

If you fly over to BBTB2,check out the amazing inspiration from my DT sisters and come and play along with us.

Thanks for stopping by.

BBTB2 Star

Good Morning! How are you?
Can you believe how quickly summer is flying?

Today we have a new challenge over at BBTB2. Our lovely Julie has asked us to use a moon or star cut.

I have been stalking the Tim Holtz star die...(oooh by the way did I mention Tim is coming to the UK and I am going to his workshop!? ...).
I decided I didn't need to buy the die as I could make the same 3d star using my cricut....

I used Art Philosophy for all my cuts.
I cut the star at 5" and scored and inked it.
The layers were cut at 5.25" and the card at 5.5".
I piled lots of hot glue into the centre of the star to keep it's shape in the post!

I used My Creative Time Vintage Stitched Label die and Gift Card Sentiments
for my sentiment.
(I know ! Christmas again but all the Christmas DP's are coming into the stores and I wanted to use Dovecraft's Tis the Season).

I was really pleased that the star turned out so well and was so easy to make.
The DT ladies have lots of inspiration for you so do check them out and come play along with us.

BBTB2 - Christmas in July

Good Morning! Hope you all enjoyed a good weekend.

Today is a new challenge over at BBTB2 and it is my turn to host.
The theme is Christmas in July. So any project Christmas related made with your cricut.
Most of you know I love making 3D things and I went with a gift box...

I used TBBM2 to make this box to put these little Molton Brown soaps in.

The box is cut at 9" and the DP is Nordic Christmas by First Edition.

I used Dec 25th to cut the snowflake at 2.5" and a Leanne Creatief poinsettia die for the flower.

A little inking and a greeting from LOTV to complete it.

These are going to be table gifts for Christmas for the ladies.
I shall add their names to each box.

My DT sisters have lots more wonderful projects to inspire you.
It's a great time to get a head start on the festive season and I'm looking forward to seeing your seasonal creations.

BBTB2 - Beach Hut

Good Morning Everyone! Hope you had a great weekend.
Today is a new challenge over at BBTB2 and our lovely Caroline has chosen a beach theme this week.
What a fab challenge as we are enjoying a heatwave in the UK! A summer at last...haven't seen much of one for the last couple of years! We have beach huts at most of our seaside resorts and that was my inspiration for this project.

I used Sweet Tooth Boxes for the hut cut at 8".
I made some alterations such as adding an opening door and curtains.
I scored lines and sanded back to create sun bleached wood.

The surfboard was cut at 2.5",flip flops at 1" both from Life's a Beach.
I took this photo in a bunker at the golf course!

I rolled card to create legs and added floorboards inside!

I am really pleased how this turned out  and looks suitably summery in my conservatory!

Fire up your cricuts and come and play in the sand and do check out my DT sisters .... you won't be disappointed.

Ice Cream Tags

Happy Monday Everyone, hope you had a great weekend.

To celebrate National Ice Cream Month our sweet and talented Brenda has chosen an ice cream theme as our challenge this week over at BBTB2.

I love making tags but never have any on hand when I need one
so that was my inspiration behind these....

Recipe
Doodlecharms - ice cream cut at 2"
Just Tag Dies and Chocolate Greetings both from My Creative Time.

I popped up the ice creams for added dimension.

My fellow DTers have lots of wonderful inspiration for you so do check them out and come and play along with us.

Jakarta

Hi, hope you are having a fab weekend.

I understand Google reader is finishing tomorrow, so I have signed up to bloglovin. If you want to continue following my Blog please click on the button on the right or my Network button.

I appreciate all my followers and visitors, thanks.

I just thought I would pop in with a few photos from the Asian World Junior Golf Championship.

I have to say these are not great quality as these are a few I have from my camera to my pc.  I mainly used my ipad for photos and video and they came out brilliantly, but,  I still don't know how to transfer them to my blog!!

This is Ossian. He did really well, he finished 16 overall in his category which was very strong.

The opening ceremony ( he is 3rd in from the left at the back!).

Putting on the 18th during a practice round. He's in the blue shorts.
It was in the 40's everyday...heat and humidity was mega!!

We were very proud of how he played and how he coped with the heat.
I could only ever walk round 9 holes to follow...it was punishing!

The experience he gained with the temperature and different grass and meeting all the other competitors was invaluable.

Ossian had to qualify to play in this tournament and has since been invited to Thailand and India to play.

Last weekend he won the Under 14's Club Championship at home in his Hampshire Club.

We have a summer of golf tournaments and matches and as you can imagine life is busy.
I have stepped down some of my DT and blog commitments for the time being as craft time is sparse!

I will still be by to visit your blogs though.
