BBTB2 - School Days/ Exciting news!

Hi! Remember me?!
How are you doing?
Hope you've had a good couple of weeks.

Life is so busy and I only seem to get time to check emails on my phone! Thank goodness for smart phones!! lol. That said, I plan to catch up with you all over the next day or so.

Today is a new challenge over at BBTB2 and our lovely Jaren is our host and has set a school days challenge....anything/achievement to do with school.

I made a shaped card cut at 8" from Create A Friend and the phrase was cut at 2".
A little embossing, inking and distressing later and a card suitable for my teenager!

This ties in well with our family exciting news.....

Ossian has been invited back to Indonesia to play in the Asian Junior World Golf Championship again in June. So this is for our wonderful 13 year old son who we are immensely proud of.

I chose the 'achievement' part of our challenge! Cough, cough!! ( okay not school...sshhh!)
The DT girls have lots of fabulous inspiration for you so do check them out and come play along.

Thanks for looking and a special thank you for continuing to visit me whilst I have been away from blogland.

BBTB2 - Birthday Cake

Good Morning. Hope you had a great weekend.

Today, Diana has challenged us over at BBTB2 to use our cricuts to make a project  with a birthday cake on it.

I used Artiste at 4.75" for the cake and my scoreboard to 3d the wrapper.
The heart and sentiment are both from My Creative Time.
The paper was scraps on my table.

This was for a friend who loves making cupcakes.
Do check out all the inspiration from the DT and come and play along.

Thanks for looking.

BBTB2 - Parrot!

Hi, today is a new challenge over at BBTB2 and our wonderfully talented Caroline is our host.
Birds of a feather is this week's challenge.
I love the bird on Art Philosophy and always go to that one. But what is a challenge without challenging yourself?!

I Used the parrot cut in his cage from Wild Card 2 cut at 4.5" instead.
DP - Crate Paper - Random and silver sparkle fibres to hang the cage.
My Pink Stamper - Tweetie Hoo Puns

It's cuter in person but the jury is still out...not sure it's one of my favourite cards but I like that it is different!!! Lol.

The DT really do have some super cards for inspiration. Do check them out and come and join in the fun.

Hoppy Easter!

Hello  my fellow crafty friends!
It's been a busy couple of weeks around here.
We had a fab time in France and the weather was beautiful too.
Work's been busy and there's been a plethora of tournaments and County golf matches for Ossian.
It's also been lovely catching up with family and friends.

There's something exciting in the pipeline... will share when I am able to!

I hope you are enjoying your Easter weekend.
Today is my day and I plan to craft, in between washing and baking ready for tomorrow.
The boys are out at County golf so the house is quiet!

Just lately I have been playing with Mama Elephant stamps and dies...I love these.

Isn't he a cutie?

I used Mama Elephant - Honey Bunny stamps and creative cuts dies.
Lawn fawn grass die.
Paper smooches stitched tag.
My Creative Time for the 4 x 4 stitched mat.

I am entering this over at Make the Day Special Challenge - Anything Goes.
They are a fab UK online shop that stock lots of great companies from the US.
In my experience their customer service is good and delivery speedy.

If I'm not a lazy blogger and manage to photograph and upload piccies of the other Easter cards/treats I have made I will share tomorrow.
If not...Happy Easter Everyone!!

Chocolate Bunny!

Hi, how are you doing?
This week over at BBTB2 the very lovely Brenda has asked us to make an Easter project.
When I finished making last week's bunny challenge I discovered this sweet bunny  and just had to use him!

I used Create a Critter 2 at 3.5" for the chocolate bunny and took a scalloped circle punch to his ear for the 'bite' mark.
The stitched journal die is by lawn fawn.
DP Doodlebug - Hello Spring

Check out all the fantastic inspiration from the DT ladies and come play along.

Thanks for stopping by.

Easter Bunny - BBTB2

Hi Everyone!
Hope you had a great weekend.
School hols have started here and we are off to France to play some golf in a couple of days time.
I am really looking forward to the break, especially after the last couple of weeks!

Today is a new challenge over at BBTB2 and our lovely Team Leader, Susan, has asked us to make a project using a cricut cut Easter Bunny.

My bunny is a bit of a frankenstein bunny as he is 2 critters joined together!!
I used Create a Critter and cut the raccoon's body at 3" and added the rabbit's head - cut at 4".
I used my copics to define a little. I am really delighted how he turned out!

The card base was cut at 5.5" from Art Philosophy.
The bow is from mama Elephant.
DP - Doodlebug Hello Spring

I am entering this over at :-
 FCCB - #205 Spring Cleaning
(Hope Frankie bunny counts as a new cut!)
My Craft Spot - #132 Happy Easter

Thank you for stopping by.
I plan to catch up with you all  over the next couple of days.

Do come and join in the fun and see the awesome inspiration by the fab DT girls.

Happy Mother's Day

Hello Friends, hope you've had a great week.

It's been a 'difficult' week this week.
My Uncle passed away suddenly.
My Mum had to go into hospital and  then my Dad was rushed to hospital with a suspected heart attack. It was good news, they are both ok now.

Here is my card I made my lovely Mum for Mother's Day which is  today in the UK.

I have just discovered Wplus9 stamps and dies and this wreath is one of their dies.
The beautiful and delicate 'Mother' diecut is from Clearly Besotted.

A mixture of magnolia and sizzix flowers and 'love'is by Paper Smooches.
My little bow is by Mama Elephant. (Slight obsession with little bows!!! Guess they are quick and easy to make when little craft time available!)

I didn't take a picture of the gift bag. It had lots of feathers and little bows on and this is the tag I made to add to it.

I have had a lovely day with my hubby and son.
They took me to a craft shop and then for lunch, followed by a game of golf in the sunshine.
My perfect day.

Happy Mother's Day Mum!

Thanks for visiting.

BBTB2 - Flowers

Hi, Happy Monday.
Hope you had a great weekend.

Today is a new challenge over at BBTB2 and Pam has asked us to use flowers.

I used Creative Cards for the card and envelope at 5".

The little banner in the middle is from MFT Blueprints 13 (love these)
and the sentiment is from My creative Time.

There is beautiful inspiration from the DT so do check them out and come and play along.
