Congratulations

Congratulations Prince William and Kate, Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. Didn't she look beautiful? And he looked great in his Irish Guards uniform. A lovely happy occasion.Good luck to them both for the future together. It's a brilliant atmosphere here in Britain today. Here are some photos..

Hope those of you who have had little sleep(I know many of you were planning to get up very early to watch),manage to get some rest. Have a good day.Jayne x

Royal Wedding

Hello everyone, hope you are all having a good thursday. We've had beautiful weather but it's just on the turn! Hope it stays dry for Kate and William tomorrow. The card I have is to celebrate their big day and I know it's incredibly cheesy but how many Royal Weddings do we get! Lol!
I am entering this intoBBTB2 where Julie has selected Home Decor Crown.I don't have this cartridge so used a crown from paper Dolls.Technically he won't be wearing a crown tomorrow, but hey...poetic license!!
I think he'll be in RAF uniform and it's rumoured the Queen is giving Kate a family tiara to wear.

Also entering this into Whimsical Wednesdays - It's a Royal Celebration.

All cuts are from Paper Doll Dress Up or Everyday Paper Dolls and cut at 3.5"
Even the pennants are on there and they are cut at 3"
As usual, lots of inking, doodling, krylon pen for gold buttons, gems and 3d foam.

I've noticed that lots of people use peachy keen stamps(hope that's right)and I think they would have been great for my couple.Think I need to go on an international shopping trip!!!(Online!)Lol.

Thanks for looking in.Wishing Wills and Kate a very happy, healthy and long life together.

Stylish Blogger Award

This week,Melissa from http://craftygator.blogspot.com/  gave me this award. I am so thrilled. I haven't been blogging 2 months yet,but can't believe the enjoyment it gives me to share what I make(I give all my cards to people I know, and then what is left I give to charity - usually breast cancer care). So I never had a way of keeping track of what I actually made until now. But for me the biggest pleasure I get is all of your lovely feedback.I was scared to blog initially, but  I have found the crafting blog community is a fantastic place to be with some amazing people. So thank -you for all of your encouraging comments and for making me feel so welcome.
Gwyneth moment aside...

Rules
1. Thank the person who gave you the award by sharing a link back to them.
2.Share 8 random things about yourself.
3.Award it to 8 bloggers you have recently discovered and tell them about it.

1. Thank-you Melissa.http://craftygator.blogspot.com
2.
Eight Random Things
1)I prefer dogs to cats.
2)I love being outdoors.
3)I play lots of 'boppy' music..I was going to say when I craft, but actually most of the time.
4) I only ever sing in the car as I can't  hold a note! Don't worry Simon Cowell,I won't audition for x-factor!
5)I  live in the countryside and have fantastic views and the most amazing sunsets.Ain't Mother Nature great!
6)I am blessed to be surrounded with the family and friends I have.
7)Only have 2 'crafty' friends where I live, all my other friends like/order what I make but have no interest in doing it themselves.
8)My son still has to help me copy and paste on the computer ...can't seem to master it!

3.
There are so many wonderful bloggers out there. All the ones I follow are new to me. I am sure  all these people already have lots of awards. In no particular order:-

Easter Bunny

Hi,what another glorious morning, hope you all had a great weekend. We have been busy in the garden,power-washing everything. Fence painting today!
I would like to say thank-you to My Sheri Crafts for my second ooh la la award  and to Fantabulous cricut, where I had a design team top 5 finish. It really makes my day to know that you like what I make. Thanks so much.

Fantabulous Cricut  challenge#56 - use a chick or bunny

Well, where do I start? I know my bunny is in the shade but it seemed appropriate as I was trying to get her hiding in the shadow of the tree after hiding her easter eggs!
I love how this card turned out,but I nearly gave up on it.....my new 'skill' was to make a stair step card, something I have never done before. Now,I'm not one for lots of measurements and I like to  throw something together, but after 1 failed attempt,I resorted to instructions!!(From Magnolia Ink -Easter magazine.)

Card Recipe
Basic grey backing papers from 6x6" cupcake pad -inked,end panels stitched

Altered Mini Canvas

A friend of mine, who has had some pretty tough times but remains an amazing lady is moving to Devon. I wanted to make a 'little' something for her that was small enough to take with her as most of her things are going into storage for a while.
This little canvas represents Spring and new beginnings.Really hope she likes it.

Recipe
3x2" mini canvas painted cream
Antique Linen and Vintage Photo to distress, sprayed with heirloom gold Perfect Pearls Mist
The shading doesn't show well in the photos as far more pronounced in real life!(Probably my photography skills - or lack of them!) Lol.
Rock Candy distress stickles on lower part of canvas
Branch, bird and cage - Tim Holtz dies - grungeboard
Branch -vintage photo
Bird and cage, adirondack paints & gold krylon pen
Flower - tattered florals smallest flower - cut 3x out of white paper, inked with spun sugar, stamped with prima text and glimmer misted
Mini red flower button
Heart charm from old necklace

I am entering this into The Paper Variety challenge this week - to use a flower or flowers.Hope it meets their criteria as although it's a canvas, the flower is made from paper.
Thanks for stopping by.Enjoy the weekend.

Baby Girls

Happy Friday! Where does the time go? Hope you've all had a good week.My husband's work colleague had a little girl this week, and I was asked to make a card for the team to send. Thought I had a few days to make it, but at 10 last night, hubby asked if I had made it as some of the guys would be out of the office next week!
Wrap it Up is a cricut cart that I really wanted and sent to the States to get(as the new carts nearly always take longer to be available in the UK),but have barely used. Hangs head in shame! So for a challenge I did a few days ago,I used the fence cut. Since it was still in my machine I looked to see if there was anything suitable for a baby card.....and there's lots. This is what I came up with.....

It is a 8x8" card, which is pretty big for me.

Apologies for the photo quality but it was still dark this morning when I took the photos before hubby went to work! Double click on them for more detail. I took a side on view to try and show the dimension.
I am entering this card into Cricut Chaos Cartridge Challenge  #13 at Two Scraptastic Gals  - use either Wrap it Up or Storybook.

Card Recipe
DCWV papers,inked and sewn.
Pram & It's a Girl - p.23 Wrap it Up
Pram embossed,sanded  and inked
Ribbon
Gems
Lots of 3D foam

My cousin is about to have a little girl anyday now,so today I made a smaller(5x5"),similar card ready.

Think this one shows the colours better as picture was taken in daylight!! Lol.
Have a great weekend,thanks for looking in.x

Tomorrow, is Mothering Sunday in the UK, so I will post photos of both cards I've made. Can't spoil the surprise for them, so you will have to wait until then!

Hope to see you all tomorrow, glass of wine beckons. Jayne x
