Tim Holtz Stag Luminaire

Hello Everyone. Yes your eyes don't deceive you!!
I am desperately trying to get back to posting more regularly!!

I have the new Tim Holtz luminary die and decided to use it and play along at My Craft Spot .

There was a Pinterest photo for inspiration.

I took the earthy elements. My papers were based on the brown leaf in the foreground and touches of red and green to represent the foliage. My white stag picks out the white detail. I know the picture represents fall but I thought the winter tree with the stag worked perfectly too.

I wanted to show the star on top of the rosette tree.

I embossed the acetate that I added to each window.
The luminary is fiddly to put together but worth it!
I added washi tape for splashes of colour and a poinsettia die for the flower.

The pictures really don't do this justice.
Pickwell Farm Craft shop asked me to make shop samples with this die.
I will post the Christmas and Halloween luminaires with instructions at the weekend.

Thanks for looking.

Dogs rule!!

Good morning! Hope you had a great weekend.
This week over at BBTB2  we are asking the question...
Cats or dogs - Which is your favourite?

Well I am definitely Team Dog!
And in honour of my Cavalier King Charles - Pan ( yes as in Peter!!), I made her a treat bag.

I used Create a Friend and Create a Critter 2 and mixed them up a bit.

I debossed the glassine bag and filled with dog biscuits.

Here is Pan with her baby and treat bag. She'll be much more excited when I open it for her!!!

The DT ladies seem to be Team Cat as I uploaded my project so do check them out and come play along and swell Team Dog numbers!! Lol!

Birthday Golfer!

Hi! I know a bit of a shock...posting twice in one week!

The theme this week over at BBTB2 is shaped cards. Most of you know that these are my favourite to make. This is the card I made originally for the challenge. It also happens to be the birthday card I made for my hubby! But as he looks at my blog from time to time and his birthday is today, I realised I couldn't share it on Monday!

I couldn't wait to make this with Create a Friend.

I love the cute images on this cart.

You still have time to join in the challenge and there's also a DT call going on over at BBTB2 so do come and check it out.

And just in case hubby is looking - Happy Birthday Kevan!

Thanks for stopping by.
Have a great weekend.

Back to School Shaped Card

Hello Friends ,hope you had a great weekend.

I was lucky enough to attend a Hels Sheridan workshop at the weekend. I will share photos of my project and the one from Tim's once I get organised!

We have spent all summer taking our son to various golfing tournaments. He is playing well and is now down to a handicap of 8. Hubby and I have been playing lots too and played in yet another competition yesterday. I really need to magic up some time for my craft room!!

Today is my turn to host over at BBTB2 and I chose a shaped card  theme using any cricut cart.

Every year I make my son a back to school card, so this is what I made for him.....

BBTB2 - French Fry Box

Good Morning and welcome to my blog.
It's been a fun and busy weekend.
Susan our talented and inspiring  DT leader is hosting the challenge over at BBTB2. this week and has asked us to use the French Fry Box from Art Philosophy. If you don't have this cart you can make any cricut cut 3d box.
I loved this challenge....

I made the box to contain Christmas bauble gift tags.
I was really pleased how this came out but now I have lots of orders for these!!

Recipe
Art Philosophy for all cuts.
French fry box - 8"
Bauble tag - 2.75"
Snowflakes - 2.75" and 1.5"
Mini Bauble - 1.5"

The pictures don't show up the glossy cardstock for the snowflakes very well!

Here is another colourway ...I really like this one too!

Check out the DT for lots of amazing projects and come and join in the fun. How will you decorate your box?
