Tim Holtz Stag Luminaire

Hello Everyone. Yes your eyes don't deceive you!!
I am desperately trying to get back to posting more regularly!!

I have the new Tim Holtz luminary die and decided to use it and play along at My Craft Spot .

There was a Pinterest photo for inspiration.

I took the earthy elements. My papers were based on the brown leaf in the foreground and touches of red and green to represent the foliage. My white stag picks out the white detail. I know the picture represents fall but I thought the winter tree with the stag worked perfectly too.

I wanted to show the star on top of the rosette tree.

I embossed the acetate that I added to each window.
The luminary is fiddly to put together but worth it!
I added washi tape for splashes of colour and a poinsettia die for the flower.

The pictures really don't do this justice.
Pickwell Farm Craft shop asked me to make shop samples with this die.
I will post the Christmas and Halloween luminaires with instructions at the weekend.

Thanks for looking.

  4. Beautiful project. I got this die to use with some kids in a craft club and it will be too "fiddly" for them. I am so bummed! It's challenging for myself, even, and I enjoy "fiddly!" Do you have any tips?

    2. Thank you, I did make 3 and I agree, it did get a bit easier, but the kids would have only made one. I'm not going to do it with them.
Thank you for posting pics! Off to look.
